Ice : From now on I have decided to charge 100 bux for every meeting I attend as a "Hazard Allowance".

Well, the last four line of the conversation never happened! I so much wished for that. But err... rest all pretty much happened! Serving a notice period is like a daily picnic to the work place. Just hang around, advice people, play ping pong & pool, watch TV, get glued to the x-box! I mean, I am not complaining! Besides I have had a great boss who was really considering the "hazard Allowance" I asked for in a last ditch effort to convince me to stay back... LOL...

Ok... Continuing from Harihareshwar... There's this babe in my team. Someone who has joined us recently. So she shares an apartment with another colleague of mine, SJ, who had her birthday the day after we returned from our tour. And she asked me what would make a great birthday present for her? That was all I needed! So here goes the prank. I actually had forgotten it was SJ's b'day. Only when this babe mentioned, it struck me.

So, she asked if SJ loves flowers n all... I said yeah, her favorite flower is "Parthenium". And that she likes karela ka wafer, bitter gourd... LOL... and I was done with it. I never bothered to call up and wish SJ, and why would I? I had forgotten her birthday! So my plan was, let the prank unfold, let people fall prey for it, then I will call up and yell Happy Birthday! So that I don't get trashed!

Then, as expected, this babe and her friend, both went in search for Parthenium to the florist and tried hard to convince him that Parthenium is a beautiful flower like Crysantemum! They actually made the fella call up his back office and google it! And he comes up saying its a medicinal plant. And I thank him for not mentioning it as a weed! LOL! then the two of them buy some karela wafers and go present her!

I am yet to get a first hand account of how things unfolded by the b'day girl SJ. LOL... Till then these two girls were cursing themselves that why on earth they believed me! LOL... But it was all taken in the rigth spirits by every one involved! Then I called up SJ & wished her in the end to avoid being trashed!

And besides this the last month fro me here. I am moving out to a new job. Gonna miss all these people here, and of course it has been 3 great years here! So its "Chalo Dilli" for me!

Ouch! That Hurts!

I went deep in to the sea swimming! I love to swim in the open wild sea, not pools! There was a rock in between where I crashed my legs to bruise em! And a sore knee! But for that a great retreat. Fully charged and packed with power now! And I pulled another of those pranks of mine where people are at first clueless then they are thirsty for my blood! I am still underground & hiding from them for a while now! That's why the delay in updates!

Weekend Getaway...

Hmmm, well... I thought my team needs some fun. We've been looked after well by our employer. But I felt we need a team outing with our families! Haha... A single guy talking about such a tour? Whats wrong with me! LOL...
Anways, I had mooted the idea a month ago, we had just done with a major release & it went really well. So now before we could occupy ourselves with further projects, I wanted to take em out on this outing. Its a great idea actually. You are already on a light load @ work and what better way to get recharged before teh next plunge into it!
The one thing I absolutely love about Pune is its proximity to fantastic weekend getaways! Lovely Sahyadri Ghats! So after some initial discussions, we decided on Harihareshwar. I've already been to this place twice in last couple of years.

I am actually pretty happy & impressed with the way this whole trip planning has come along. Everyone of them, all 10 of us have been entusiastic! We've played our parts. So as We are all set to have this rocking weekend break, heres our tour dairy.

A final round up before tomorrow,

Things to be done:

1. Bread, Butter, Jam, Cups - Amish

2. Sweet, kaju Katli, 200 gms - Venkata

3. Tambola/Housie & First Aid Kit - Arvind

Tour Dairy:

5th July 2008

1. 0545/0600 hrs Venkata & Chandra move all snacks in the bus, first up.

2. Arvind, to note down the kilometer reading & pay some money to take care of tolls.

3. Everyone boards the bus and we leave max by 0630.

4. Once out of Pune, distribution of snacks by 0700 hrs.

5. Kamalkishor to facilitate in having a smooth & enjoyable breakfast during the journey.

6. Balaji to keep track of all the folks not wandering away or getting lost during the journey breaks. Like a telling machine!

7. Expected to reach Harihareshwar by 1300/1330 hrs.

8. Chandra to make some local enquires with MTDC guys for places to be seen in & around Harihareshwar.

9. Kamalkishor again to facilitate us for a enjoyable lunch. Bon Apetite!

10. Relax @ ur room, enjoy a stroll on the beach or have fun in the sea till the evening.

11. In the mean time if the rain gods are happy with us, we can sneak in a couple if games as well.

12. As the evening sets in, a bon fire and some more games.

13. Order and finish up dinner & Tambola after that.

6th July 2008

1. 0800 Have breakfast, Kamal to help us out...

2. 0900 check out and leave for Srivardhan & Diveaghar.

3. Hang around, enjoy & have as much fun. Have lunch @ 1300.

4. Leave back to Pune by max 1430.

5. Reach Pune by 2030, and disperse.

So, see you all @ 0600 hrs tomorrow.
